About the Event

NEW DATE & TIME: According to a Klyde Warren Park official, the Say Their Names Memorial will now be uninstalled on Thursday afternoon. As a result, we have changed our Speak That! Movement gathering date to Wednesday, 9/16/20, from 7:30 - 9:00 PM. 

RSVP and plan to join Speak That! Movement on the last EVENING of the Say Their Names Memorial installment at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas for an empowering evening of connecting and reflecting on the black lives that were lost to racism, injustice, and police brutality. The memorial was installed by Emily Clarke Events and Bows & Arrows. Our special gathering at the park will encourage meaningful interaction and social action. Please plan to meet at the red Speak That! Movement vertical banner.

Please note: As of 9/15/20, the Say Their Names Memorial will still be installed between now and Thursday, so you all are welcome to visit the park at any time. Visit the Klyde Warren Park website for more details.

The schedule for Wednesday, 9/16/20 is as follows:

7:30 - 8:00 PM: Speak That! Movement Social Distancing Meet & Greet and Solidarity Walk to the Say Their Names Memorial (Meet at the Children's Park Station located near the corner of Woodall Rodgers St. Paul, which is the opposite end of the memorial. Look for the red vertical Speak That! Movement banner.)

8:00 - 8:30 PM: Say Their Names Memorial Experience located at the Muse Family Performance Pavilion 

8:30 - 9:00 PM:  Reflection and Closing led by Tiara M. Tucker

Note: See park guidelines for information about the park and what park attendants are allowed to bring, as well as valet and other self-parking options. Guests will need to wear masks/facial coverings.
