Born and raised in Kankakee, IL, (South of Chicago) and now residing in Dallas, TX, Trailblazer Tiara M. As a testament to her noteworthy leadership and philanthropy efforts, since 2020, Tiara has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including: the President Joe Biden Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the Illinois State University Andrew Purnell, Jr. Trailblazer Award, the D CEO Magazine Leadership Excellence Award, the Dallas Skyline Award, the PRSA Dallas “40 Under 40” Award, and others. The firm’s mission is to use their authentic, empowering and supportive approach to help PRomote, PRogress and PRotect clients, brands, organizations, and communities that desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

 

Tiara PR Network has an extensive history managing PR, communications and media for noteworthy organizations, business professionals, events, high-profile legal cases, political campaigns, community efforts, and crisis situations. Tiara PR Network is also known for its upscale HQ locations and mobile activations created to connect, collaborate, create, and celebrate with community members. ​ ​

Notable PR Experiences 

Tiara’s most notable PR experiences include her own firm's efforts in the battle for civil rights and social justice. She has worked alongside some of the nation’s most well-known Civil Rights attorneys and community leaders as their PR, communications, crisis, and media director. She has led efforts for multiple media-saturated situations, including the Allen Outlet Mall mass shooting, Tarrant County Jail inmate deaths, celebrity legal cases, and more. On the political side, Tiara was the campaign manager and PR director for a Texas State Representative nominee from 2021 - 2022, and the PR director for a Texas congressional candidate from 2022 - 2023. She has also been the event chair and PR coordinator for multiple high-caliber events, including a private movie screening and a sold-out fundraising gala held in Dallas.

Making a Social Impact

With a lifelong passion for social justice, mental health, women/girl empowerment, and using one’s voice, Tiara is also the creator of her highly-acclaimed Speak That! Movement brands. Tiara founded Speak That! Movement, Inc, a highly-acclaimed community organization. She is also the creator, host and executive producer of Speak That! Talks, which allows her to promote and coach guest speakers from all over the world. In 2021, she launched, Girl, Speak That!, to equip and empower the future generation of women in business. While taking a course at Harvard University, she produced and directed her first social justice documentary, Speak Their Stories, to uniquely share the story of women impacted by social injustice. The project was nominated for a 2023 Essence Film Festival Award.

 

Further advancing her love for social justice, Tiara was chosen to be the PR and media director and an advisory board member for LoveJustice.com, the social justice community hub supporting efforts for local, national and global change. In addition to being the global spokesperson for the organization, she manages all of the organization’s social media platforms, and serves as the executive producer and podcast host for the LoveJustice Podcast, that she co-created. The podcast allows her to put the social justice conversation into context by interviewing community organizations and activists generating change. ​

Tiara also served as the 2022 Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Dallas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Corporate America Journey​

In February of 2023, after impressively completing 18 years of employment with State Farm Insurance Companies, a respected Fortune 50 company, Tiara took a major step of faith and hung up her Corporate America coat for full-time entrepreneurship. During her tenure at State Farm, she specialized in corporate public affairs, executive communications, crisis strategy, employee/agent engagement, corporate responsibility, philanthropy, nonprofit portfolio management, volunteer coordination, and event planning/hosting. She has creatively and boldly coordinated and hosted numerous high-impact and unprecedented associate engagement activities.

 

What's Next for Tiara

Being a mindfulness enthusiast who has had battles with anxiety and imposter syndrome while going after her own dreams, Tiara is dedicated to using her platforms, workshops, events, speaking engagements, and mentoring to empower others. Tiara is constantly learning and evolving, and educating others. To expand her education beyond her B.S. degree in Public Relations and M.S. degree in Communication from Illinois State University, since 2019 she has attained a Certificate in Mindfulness; a Certificate in Life Coaching; a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace; and aced a Nonprofit Leadership and Community Engagement graduate course at Harvard University, where she has been a guest lecturer.

Tiara plans to continue to make a difference in the community. She is a member of the Illinois State University Alumni Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., PRSA Dallas, the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, NAACP, and other professional organizations. ​
