Born and raised in Kankakee, IL, (South of Chicago) and now residing in Dallas, TX, Trailblazer Tiara M. Tucker, M.S., is an empowerment connector wearing many “tiaras.” She is an accomplished PR and nonprofit executive; communications and crisis strategist; transformational speaker and coach; event curator, host and MC; podcast host and producer; DE&I leader; and social justice and mental health activist.

She is the multiple-award-winning founder and CEO of Tiara PR Network, LLC, her upscale boutique firm focused on social impact by providing PR & brand strategy, communications support, events, and community impact.

Tiara has been a speaker, coach and guest instructor for numerous events, schools and universities, including Harvard University, Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Texas Women's University, University of North Texas, and more. Making a Social Impact

With a lifelong passion for making a social impact in the community, Tiara founded Speak That! Movement, Inc, an effort focusing on women/girl empowerment, mental health and social justice. Tiara is also the creator, host and executive producer of Speak That! Talks, which allows her to promote and coach guest speakers from all over the world. She recently produced and directed her newest social justice initiative, Speak Their Stories, to uniquely share the story of women impacted by social injustice. The project was nominated for a 2023 Essence Film Festival Award.

She is currently the PR & media director for the social justice focused nonprofit, LoveJustice. She produces and hosts the LoveJustice Podcast, which allows her to put the social justice conversation into context by interviewing social justice-focused organizations and activists. 

 

Tiara continues to make a difference in the community. She is a member of the Illinois State University Alumni Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., PRSA Dallas, the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, NAACP, Rainbow Push Coalition, and other professional organizations. Tiara served as the 2022 Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Dallas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). 

 

Tiara’s most notable PR experiences include her social impact efforts in the battle against civil rights and social justice. She has worked alongside some of the nation’s most well-known Civil Rights attorneys and community leaders as their PR and communications director. She has been the PR and media director for multiple media-saturated situations making her responsible for overseeing local, national and international media relationships. Tiara was the campaign manager and PR director for a Texas State Representative nominee from 2021 - 2022. She has also been the event chair and PR coordinator for multiple high-caliber events, including a private movie screening and a sold-out fundraising gala held in Dallas in 2019.

Special Achievements

Since 2020, Tiara has earned the President Joe Biden Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the Illinois State University's Andrew Purnell Jr. Trailblazer Award, which is their highest honor recognizing the university's alumni trailblazers, groundbreakers, innovators, and pioneers who have devoted their time and effort in servant leadership to courageously make a positive change. She is the recipient of the prestigious D CEO Magazine Leadership Excellence Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Award, the Dallas Skyline Award, and the PRSA Dallas “40 Under 40” Award. Tiara was also a nominee for the Cosign Magazine 2023 Publicist of the Year Award, the 2023 DEC Network Woman of Influence Award and the 2021 Collin County Women of Influence Award.

Corporate America Journey 

In February of 2023, after impressively completing 18 years of employment with State Farm Insurance Companies, a respected Fortune 50 company, Tiara took a major step of faith and hung up her Corporate America coat for full-time entrepreneurship. During her tenure at State Farm, she specialized in public affairs, corporate responsibility, communications strategy, executive-level support, event planning/hosting, philanthropy, nonprofit portfolio management, and associate/community engagement. She has creatively and boldly coordinated and hosted numerous high-impact and unprecedented associate engagement activities.

In addition to her experiences in Corporate America, Tiara has an extensive history managing PR, communications and media for noteworthy business professionals, events, high-profile legal cases, campaigns, community efforts, and crisis situations.

 

What's Next for Tiara

As a mindfulness enthusiast who has had battles with anxiety while going after her own dreams, Tiara is dedicated to using her voice and platforms to enrich others. Tiara is also constantly learning and evolving. To expand her education beyond her B.S. degree in Public Relations and M.S. degree in Communication from Illinois State University, since 2019 she has attained a Certificate in Mindfulness; a Certificate in Life Coaching; a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace; and aced a Nonprofit Leadership and Community Engagement graduate course at Harvard University. The next semester she was invited by two Harvard professors to be a guest lecturer.

Tiara plans to intentionally use 2024 to focus on faith-walking in her purpose. You will likely find her spending time with other business professionals connecting, collaborating, creating, and celebrating.
