Attorney Daryl K. Washington and Family of Anthony Johnson, Jr. to Hold Press Conference to Address Autopsy Results and Homicide Ruling
FORT WORTH, TX – June 10, 2024 – Civil Rights Attorney Daryl K. Washington and the family of Anthony Johnson, Jr. will hold a press conference on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. They will provide a response to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruling that Johnson’s cause of death is asphyxia (mechanical and chemical), resulting in a homicide. Johnson, a 31-year-old Marine veteran, was in custody at the Tarrant County Jail when an altercation involving several jailers took place on April 21, 2024, causing Johnson’s tragic death.
